    I am confused as to why being on government assistance would be an issue?

    • @PuttingaBuninMyOven
      @PuttingaBuninMyOven 9 днів тому

      Valid question! There are two main reasons: 1) Potential surrogates must be stable not only mentally, emotionally, and physically, but financially as well so that they may focus on the pregnancy without stressing about finances. This leads to the second reason. 2) There are strict income regulations when collecting government assistance, and the compensation that a surrogate receives will prevent them from receiving it in many cases. It may not be in their in their best interest to put them in that situation and so it’s a more responsible decision to avoid it altogether. That being said, it will not permanently disqualify someone if they come off the assistance (which is where the gray area comes in that I mentioned).

      @@PuttingaBuninMyOven makes sense! Also, does that 70,000 dollar compensation separate from all the doctor visits, travel time, etc or is it part of it?

    • @PuttingaBuninMyOven
      @PuttingaBuninMyOven 8 днів тому

      Nope, that’s part of what you’re getting compensated for doing 🙂 Travel costs are reimbursed, however.

    May I ask and I am not being snarky in the slightest, but it sort of caught me off guard. Is there a specific reason why you are only willing to donate to a heterosexual couple? As a two mom household, this made me incredibly sad, but would love to hear your reasoning.

      It’s a preference just like anything else. If our genetic children can’t be a part of our immediate family, I want them to have one that matches us as closely as possible.

    Thank you for sharing your story, I’m so glad to see other people considering this option. My husband and I have one son and are still considering whether we would like a second child. Regardless, the decision is coming eventually, only we have 17 embryos left so it’s a little overwhelming to think about, sometimes wish we had fewer, though I’d have never said that during IVF. Good luck deciding

    This is why IVF is such an evil in this world. They are children. Glad you decided to keep them alive and not kill them.

    • @scoop1871
      @scoop1871 Місяць тому

      Evil? Well look at my son and the joy he’s brought me that could have only came from IVF and tell me how thats evil? You clearly know nothing about infertility or the pain that it brings, count yourself as grateful but maybe try having more compassion for people who are less fortunate than you

    • @Twinmommmmmmm
      @Twinmommmmmmm 28 днів тому

      @@scoop1871 yes playing gods will is not natural. IVF does not consider the children, only prospective parents. IVF children are gifts from God. But so many lives are lost in the process. 1 million frozen children in this country. That's not evil? Souls on ice. I am fortunate. I let Gods will be done. My one daughter is still outgrowing her ventilator and PH due to the premature birth. God bless, I will pray for you

    My babygirl was born at 34 weeks with PPHN at 4-5 days old she was put on ECMO stayed on that for 2 to 2 1/2 weeks after that Drs said it was better moved onto invasive vent with syldinifil on and off the vent to non invasive vent on and off that to bubble CPAP was doing good on that then had a heart Cath procedure done to approve bosentan and that put her back on non invasive vent started the bosentan last week along with the syldinifil should find out in 2 weeks if it's working she's gonna be 5 months March 25th they just now mentioned maybe putting in a trach 😞 I honestly don't think she needs one atleast I hope she doesn't whenever we do get her home she'll have to have a g tube and oxygen if they don't put in a trach I guess it's been frustrating for sure my poor baby oh and the fact that the gurney malfunction and she dropped to the floor she was in the incubator they said they checked her out after and she was fine but I do wonder if that caused either all or some of the brain damage she got I know ECMO could have an she did code 3 times but part of me thinks they're covering up something it every Dr and nurse she has had they didn't know about her being dropped except the ones who were there at transport and I find that a little odd

    Aww my baby girl was born at 34 weeks with PPHN after 4 days in the NICU she coded and they said ECMO was the only thing left they could do so that happened then while they were putting the ECMO tubes in she coded again we got her back again but while doing the check compressions the tubes made a tear near her heart causing the sac the heart is in to fill up with fluid and blood so the same day had to close the tear and put a drain tube in her chest as well so about 2 weeks into ECMO the ECMO tubes came out causing her to code again this time for a whole 20 minutes causing some mild brain damage thankfully and so far after the last code no more coding happened she spent 3 weeks on ECMO then 1 or 2 months on the regular vent and about 3-4weeks on non invasive hopefully not much longer like your son she's on 20% oxygen she was on regular oxygen for almost 3 days but wasn't doing good cause she may have aspirated a little from spitting up or it was just too soon to take her off so they put her back on non invasive hopefully no more invasive vent tho I didn't even get to do skin to skin with her when she was born having your first child so sickly is definitely hard I've honestly had moments of breaking down that's for sure but it has definitely made me stronger for her even when I have my moments I still find mental and physical strength to be there for her no matter the challenges she faces or how I feel we're still 2 months in the hospital and counting hopefully not for long since she is improving every day maybe slowly but better than not improving 😌she's 2months now will be 3months January 25th

    My C-section felt like I was being torn in half. The epidural took stronger on one half of my body than the other. They juiced me more, but I could still feel way more than I thought. Then the incision wasn't big enough, so there was a moment of seriousness between the medical team where the doctor tried again and really yanked/ripped him out. He was 10 lbs 2 oz.

    This was really great to watch. I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant after TTC for over 2 years and I am constantly anxious. It's hard to accept that something good is happening to you when you go through so much heartbreak for years. I've convinced myself that im miscarrying or that it's ectopic and that I shouldn't get too excited because I'm probably setting myself up for disappointment. Thank you for being so candid about your experience, it really helps to feel less alone

    I know that this video is old but i went in for my first to get induced i was 4 days late. Got all the way to 9cm they broke my water and then the baby was in distress because i guess the umbilical cord was wrapped around his body squeezing him so we had an emergency C section. It was awful so much pain during the procedure more than i ever thought. And they kept giving me so much drugs i also couldn't stay awake and i had bad shakes BAD afterwards so i didn't get to hold my baby for 3 hours after C section. I dont want that this time. So i'm trying Vbac if i dont go into labor by 4 or 5 days after due date then i'll have C section but not willingly doing a C section again lol. And i really wanted to experience pushing and stuff still on epidural but want that experience of labor. Yeah labor hurt but i know what to expect this time and i progressed really well. And having a toddler and trying to recover after C section. My recovery was rough with C section and i dont want to not be able to hold my toddler for a week or couple weeks it'll already be hard on him with new baby there.
